Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I regrip my clubs?

1

A good rule of thumb is to visit The Club Coach for grips about once a year or every 40–50 rounds, whichever comes first. The more you play the sooner will will need to replace them. To prolong their useful life, it’s important to clean them regularly to remove oils and dirt.

What is the advantage to MOI matching?

2

MOI (Moment Of Inertia) measures the amount of effort that is required to move a golf club. If you match the MOI, you are ensuring that all your clubs will require exactly the same amount of effort during the swing. To match your clubs, The Club Coach will measure the MOI of a club that you swing most confidently (your “money” club) and then reweight or rebuild the rest of your set to the same MOI.

Why should I have my clubs charted?

3

When your clubs are charted, The Club Coach measures the factors that affect playability, such as length, flex, swing weight, overall weight & Moment Of Inertia. We like to include you in the charting process so that you will better understand why your clubs perform the way they do. When we “chart” the clubs’ specifications, we can quickly identify any outliers and make recommendations to correct any issues.

Why do you work by appointment?

4

The Club Coach asks that you call for an appointment so that we can arrange to have necessary components in stock, and to ensure that your clubs get the immediate attention they deserve. By dedicating time to you, we can often complete repairs, adjustments or regrips while you wait.

What is The Club Coach warranty?

5

The Club Coach warrants our repair labor for as long as you own your clubs. If applicable, the components are warranted by their individual manufacturers and may or may not be covered under warranty, depending on circumstances.
